Interest and contributions to growth in HRA have been evident in a number of countries. The authors’ work represented one of the first attempts to develop a system of accounting for a firm’s investments and studied the application of HRA in R.G. Barry Company, a public entrepreneurial firm. The early work in HRA provided inspiration for the next phase of early HRA development, basic academic research developing measurement models.
